Argh, not a great week for me. I'd been feeling tired most of the week, then cut short a long run on Friday and walked 5 miles home. I didn't run at all over the weekend. My body just doesn't feel ready to run this week. I hope everyone else did better and managed to stay ahead of the snows.

Sorry to hear, Rickshaw, although you did the right thing. Your body was sending you a clear message and you didn't push it. This week will be better!

Had a couple of fantastic long runs over the weekend - one trail and one street. My legs are pissed at me though.

Um, I ran 10 miles. A 6 and a 4. I think I'm ready to run a marathon. One of those 100 yard ones.

I don't know if my 24 mile hike yesterday/today was the right answer to the message my body was sending! But what the heck. I'll rest tomorrow and then pick it up later this week.

You still have a long time to train, though, don't you? Isn't your next marathon this summer some time?

Actually, my 18-week training cycle just started on Monday. I'm bailing on following the 70 mile Pfitz plan, though, because my low mileage over the past 3 weeks means I'm just not ready to pick up training at the 50+ mpw that the 70 mile plan calls for. I'll do the 55 mile plan, but probably cut the rest days to 1 from 2 and do an easy 5-8 miles on that extra day to up the mileage a bit.

I ran a good 5 miles on Monday, because I broke my mile PR. (it's now 5:25) The rest of the week was ok. I was too tired to do much because of school and homework. : - (

Congrats on the new mile PR, that's great! Was that during a race, or just a training run?
