San Francisco welcomes you with a great course, zany, cheering spectators, beautiful coasts, breathtaking bridges, unique neighborhoods and perhaps a cable car ride or two.
We are very excited to announce the addition of the Golden Gate Bridge onto the official Marathon and 1st Half Marathon courses. As a result of this change, the out and back on the Great Highway at the Pacific Ocean (Mile 11 to 15 of the old course) is now being replaced by an out and back across the Golden Gate Bridge with the runners doing a loop around Vista Point before returning to the roadbed of the bridge.
