Good for Half-MarathonersRating: 4 Posted: Sat Jan 29, 2005 9:13 pm
This is a good half-marathon only race: a rare event in this area.

The best (only?) half-marathon in San FranciscoRating: 4 Posted: Fri Jan 21, 2005 8:18 pm
This is a very good race. It's the only pure half-marathon in the San Francisco area that I know of, so half-marathoners don't have to feel like they're wimping out by stopping midway through a full marathon. I did the race in 2003 and again in 2004. The course is very scenic, winding through Golden Gate Park and along the ocean. There are even some crowds to cheer you on, unlike the San Francisco Marathon. The only variable is the weather, which can often be rainy and windy during this race.
