Olympic champion Justin Gatlin broke the men's world 100-meter record Friday with a time of 9.76 seconds at the Qatar Grand Prix. His performance shaved 0.01 off the previous record, set last June by Jamaica's Asafa Powell. Said Gatlin "You will see many more performances like this from me in the future."
