Dean Karnazes on David Letterman tonight Posted: Wed Mar 16, 2005 2:11 pm

I just heard Dean Karnazes is going to be on Late Night this evening promoting his new book "Ultramarathon Man: Confessions of an All-Night Runner." He's that rediculous guy that wants to run 300 miles non stop and was just on last month's Runners World and this month's Marathon and Beyond. He's an amazing guy, so set your TIVO or check it out tonight. Also check your local newsletters, i know he's coming to Chicago next week and hosting a fun run at my local running store before a signing...

I didn't see this in time to record it. How was it? From everything I've read, Karnazes is as hardcore a runner as they come.

it was good, but letterman didn't seem to know what to say... he treated him more like a stupid human trick than an athlete.

this sunday's 60 minutes has a feature on the badwater race... sounds good and from what i hear D.K. is featured in the peice as well.

i met D.K. today on a fun run/book signing. he's pretty down to earth and actually quite shy, very humble, built like a brick sh*t house, a short, thin one, but more muscular from head to toe than any distance runner i've ever seen.

i can't wait to read the book. a friend of mine read it cover to cover in one sitting and said it was one of the best reads he's had in a while and he's only a causal runner.
