If you don't know what I'm talking about, looking at the pop-up box at the bottom of any topic page. You can choose to view the postings in chronological order (flat), or threaded where replies are indented and appear immediately below the parent post. For small topics it doesn't make much difference, but for topics with dozens of posts it changes your view radically.
