Ever pull a muscle in your upper back/shoulder? Posted: Mon Dec 13, 2004 5:55 pm

Just wondering if anyone has ever pulled a muscle in their upper back or shoulder, and if so what happened. I'm going into the third month of an on-and-off pain in my right shoulder/shoulderblade area. I've had similar pains in the past that always went away within a week, but this one seems to be sticking around for keeps. I think it may be party a nervous habit of mine, because I notice that my right shoulder is often tensed up hard when I'm not thinking about it, or I'm carrying my right arm with an exaggerated lift. Consciously relaxing my shoulder seems to help some. It doesn't hurt all the time, but when it does, it can be pretty bad. Anyone have experience with this?
