Traveling out of town, and looking for good running routes? Just click your way to a wealth of info on local trails, mileage, and terrain. Launched in late 2005, USA Track and Field's America's Running Routes has a growing list of about 20,000 running routes around the country, submitted by everyday runners. The free service uses Google Maps technology to overlay the route turn-by-turn onto maps or satellite images, and an advanced search feature enables users to specify whether they want an out-and-back or loop run, terrain, surface type, and more.
