 Research Based Coaching
Submitted by Runner58 :: Fri Jan 07, 2005 10:34 am
Would you rather trust a coach or a scientist to help you train for a big race? If you listen to Greg Crowther, you'll want someone who's a bit of both. Crowther is a runner and scientist who reads original research articles and summarizes them for a general audience. He's coined the term Research Based Coaching for the practice of validating coaching techniques through scientific means. Crowther's writing is low on hype, but long on information. Although he has stopped writing for the time being, his back log of articles is very good.
